Charles
Page, President and Senior Consultant
Charles is highly regarded nationwide as a leader through his accomplishments with United Way of Central Carolinas, where he served for over 25 years, retiring as a Senior Vice President for Community Building in 2004.
A dynamic facilitator and trainer, Charles has committed himself to inspiring
the highest personal achievement in those he teaches. His extensive coaching
assignments with corporate leaders, volunteers, boards of directors, and
community organizations give him a broad spectrum of people skills. Charles
has provided strategic planning facilitation for many businesses and organizations,
and serves on a variety of regional boards and committees.
Charles graduated from Davidson College, and has completed masters' level
coursework at UNC-Charlotte.

Berkley, Senior Team Leader/Facilitator
John has been sharpening people’s Competitive Edge in the business field as a consultant, facilitator, and coach since 1984. Through his work with over 100 groups each year, John has collected and developed hundreds of simple, effective, and easy to use tools and models to help people with leadership, communication, decision making, problem solving, team dynamics, and personal development.
John has planned and facilitated customized trainings with organizations including: Bank of America, Wachovia, BB&T, Bell South, AT&T, Sara Lee, GMAC, Ingersoll-Rand, and Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. John is a graduate of Rice University, with a BS in mechanical engineering and is currently completing a coaching certificate program through Duke University.

Tom
Haselden, Senior Team Leader/Facilitator
Tom has a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Illinois,
specializing in behavioral studies. He has been expanding the depth and
scope of his understanding of this field for a number of years and is committed
to helping people develop a "play to win" attitude, recognize
and control their limiting beliefs, and change their thought process for
successful living. He is owner of Husky Enterprises, business consultants
working with human behaviors, attitudes and beliefs.

Dev
Pathik, Senior Consultant
Dev has led and designed training programs for more than 100,000
corporate professionals and government employees. Widely regarded as a leader
in the field of experiential training, Dev works with Cool Spring Center
as a Senior Consultant.
Dev has designed and facilitated programs for Campbell's
Soup, GE, Procter and Gamble, ARCO Chemical, and numerous other Fortune
1000 companies. He has been a guest speaker and advisor to The American
Advertising Federation, Experiential Based Trainers and Developers, The
International Association for Experiential Education, John Brown University,
Center for Public Management at The University of Oklahoma, and dozens of
other organizational development specialists.

Catherine Tait, Senior Facilitator
Catherine is dedicated to incorporating experiential education, team
building and organizational development in her training work with people
to help them enhance all aspects of life. With a master's degree in community
counseling from the University of Oklahoma, she has developed and conducted
numerous facilitator training programs.
She has teamed up with Jim Wall
as life partner, and in the successful management and operation of Cornerstone
Designs, Inc., designers and builders of challenge course facilities. For
the past six years she worked at Georgia College & State University
and is currently completing her doctorate in Human Resource Organizational
Development (HROD). Catherine holds the rank of Major in the Army National
Guard where she continually puts leadership and educational concepts to
the test. She is an avid traveler and an active outdoors woman, enjoying
hiking, backpacking, canoeing and sea kayaking.

Jim
Wall, Senior Facilitator
Jim is nationally recognized as a leader in ropes course design and
outdoor adventure education. With over 29 years experience and a master's
degree in recreation resources administration from North Carolina State
University, Jim has served on the faculty of the North Carolina State University
School of Sports Management. He spent eight years as assistant professor
of Outdoor Education at Georgia College & State University, where he
created the Southeast's only Outdoor Education Administration graduate program.
In addition, Jim has been a small business owner for over twelve years,
currently heading Cornerstone Designs, Inc. with Catherine Tait, his life
partner. Jim's dedication to innovation, safety and quality in outdoor experiential
education is apparent in all of his work with the many people he has trained
and taught.

- If I never try anything, I never learn anything.
- Your bag of tricks can never be too big.
- Safety isn't optional.

Kristie
Darling, Program Director
As the Program Director for Cool Spring, Kristie helps clients define
and pinpoint the training goals they want to pursue. She manages the training
focus for all groups who come to the Center and continually evaluates quality
and effectiveness. She believes that the most effective training begins
with a partnership between teacher and student. Her background as Executive
Director of the Union County Community Arts Council and as a fundraiser
for Arena Stage in Washington DC, combined with business skills in program,
facilities and special events management provide Kristie with valuable perspectives
into goal oriented training.

- We are students and teachers to each other.
- Giving and receiving are the same.
- There's a time and place for spontaneity.

Marsha
Treacy, Marketing Director
Marsha is Cool Spring Center's point person to the business community, sharing
the vision of our work with Human Resources managers and corporate leaders
who want to attract and retain quality talent through successful training.
She has over 16 years of successful business ownership and management experience,
with strategic planning, marketing, public relations and event management
skills. She has worked with Fortune 500 companies such as Oldsmobile and
Cadillac Divisions of General Motors. She is an international hot air and
gas balloon champion, with numerous awards and titles to her credit, and
is a featured pilot in the Smithsonian's book Women in Aviation and its
current traveling exhibit of the same name. Outdoor and experiential training
have become new passions for Marsha.
