Cool Spring Center’s Founder Expands Training Offerings
Statesville, NC — March 1, 2005.

Charles T. Page has recently retired as Senior Vice President for Community Building with United Way of Central Carolinas. He now leads Cool Spring Center, Inc. as President and Senior Facilitator. Cool Spring Center, an innovative corporate training company, specializes in people development programs such as teambuilding, individual and team assessments, strategic planning, leadership development and corporate retreats.

Charles Page is highly regarded nationwide as a community and business leader through his steady progression of accomplishments over the last 25 years with United Way. His move to focus on Cool Spring Center full-time greatly expands the company’s training offerings.

A dynamic facilitator and trainer himself, Charles is committed to inspiring the highest personal achievement in everyone he works with. His extensive coaching assignments with corporate leaders, boards of directors, and community organizations give him a broad spectrum of strong inter-personal skills. Charles has provided strategic planning facilitation for many businesses and organizations, and has served on a variety of regional boards and committees.

Page’s Core Be
liefs:

  • People are any company’s most valuable asset.

  • Practice makes perfect? No, practice is everything.

  • It’s not our job to show you how smart we are, but to help you learn how smart you are.

The Center’s state-of-the-art learning campus near Statesville, NC is like nothing you’ve ever experienced. Page says, "This is the next step in corporate training for the 21st century. There is nothing else like it.”

The outdoor training courses are unique in that they provide a finely tuned learning environment designed specifically for adult, corporate team development. Cool Spring’s curriculums are custom designed to meet the needs of professionals working through changing workplace and market situations.

A five-step assessment and training process helps businesses and organizations improve teamwork and leadership effectiveness. With changes in workplace conditions, Page expects his team of facilitators will help teams at various levels of effectiveness manage resources better and deal with the challenges of both downsizing and growth.

Cool Spring Center is located on 96 acres of secluded, forested property eight miles east of Statesville, NC. The learning campus provides a refuge from the stress of the contemporary business environment and serves as an outdoor classroom, with groomed trails throughout the property and a fully equipped classroom-in-the-round yurt.

Cool Spring Center is owned and managed by Charles Page and his wife, Kristie Darling. Marsha Treacy is the Center’s Director of Marketing. She sees Cool Spring’s facility as a much-needed resource for central North Carolina’s business training offerings.

“We are able to provide new team training techniques to the corporate community for work in leadership, teamwork, customer service, strategic planning, time and resource management, and diversity in the workplace—areas that are high on management’s list of training challenges. We anticipate that in addition to regional businesses, not-for-profit organizations and university level educators will want to bring their teams to the Center, too.”

The Center’s guiding maxim is that they train people to become more than they believed possible.
